This company is horrific. We moved locally after getting robbed. They helped us for two days. Our quote was 1,800. Then they threw in some bs about triple time and double time. I swear on my life it was about $14000 to move from Encino to Tarzana. They are disgusting , horrific people. Call me, reach out. I hired a lawyer today. No choice. They even dropped our stuff in the street when my husband said we didn’t have anymore money to give them. They never finished moving us. Truly these people are disgusting. It’s all a scam here. I GUESS YOU HAVE TO BE FAMOUS TO GET GOOD SERVICE AT ELITE MOVING & STORAGE!  I would give them a "0" star if possible. They showed up an hour late (in a Penske "rented" truck). No call from the crew or the main office. All attempts to reach the office on the day of the move were met with voice-mail and still have not been returned.The first 15 minutes was spent organizing/preparing the boxes and other items that were already on the truck so that my items could be loaded. I was charged $99 per hour (for a 4 man crew of which only 3 worked, the other "supervised"); which means I spent $25 to watch them do something that should have been done prior to their arrival.I was "asked" to pay and sign a bunch of documents in advance of them completing the move. I was very hesitate to do so but, being a single lady and having to deal with 4 guys while moving was very intimidating. Last but not least; they did not complete entire the hours/time I was charged for, they damaged my property and personal items.  Don't be swayed by the celebrity endorsements, it only means you have to be "famous" to get good service.

Well, It did happen to me as well and If you want to see more go to Yelp reviews. They damaged my stuff, mainly were boxes that in the end were all smashed, luckily for me nothing was damaged inside because the way I wrapped my stuff, unfortunately I can not say the same for my Ultra Firm Orthopedic Mattress which cost me $1000, It seemed that they folded and Now is useless, It has lumps all over in the back and it is not longer Ultra firm, also I got a Shoe Rack and a Laundry basket broken, plus my small dresser damaged as well, Today they sent me the claim form and for the third time I have sent all the pictures from the stuff that got damaged and the form today, At first, when I called and complain with Donna, she replied to me very rude and questioned me if I was telling the truth or not since nothing inside the boxes were damaged, so the rest it should not, I know They are taking me for granted, and all the I want is a new Mattress since this one is 2 months old and I have the receipt, if they do not take my complain seriously NOT ONLY I will file a complain to the BBB, but also to:CPUC Complaint Intake Unit - Transportation Enforcement SectionConsumer Protection and Safety Division505 Van Ness AvenueSan Francisco, CA  94102-3298I hate to waste my time with NO responsible Company who takes you for Granted, but not to me, If I have to loose $1000 for my Mattress they will loose their credibility and business, I will do anything for they to take accountability of their actions. Work as an assistant for nice family 4 months ago they sold their house in Hollywood hills so my job was to organize everything for the move one of the first thing's was to find professional company that will handle everything from packing to art and unpacking

Val got back to me the next day with the plan and price everything looked as what we needed we set the day
The guy's show up 6 guys with 2 trucks on time
We started with packing everything
After the first 2 hours I understand why everyone recommend Elite
This guy's don't full around they work as tram 2 guy's per room till that room is done and ready to go
We had the same guy's for 3 days in total this guy's so professional that as stress as I was prayer to the move I was very comfortable after seeing how the do things like handle the packing or the art work very professional
We had smooth and successful move
As Elite was recommended to me I will recommend them forward(highly)
I also allows Elite to use me as reference if needed gladly

I hired Elite Moving in January for a move. While they seemed like a very easy to work with company and seemed reasonably priced, beware if something goes wrong. First, during the move, the one mover who seemed to be in charge, basically extorted about a $400 tip for himself and the other movers. He said if "i took care of them", he wouldn't charge me all of these hidden fees and then named his price. Since I was concerned if I didn't pay him what he wanted they would "drop" or "lose" my stuff. Also when I asked about insurance, he basically said nothing ever happens so I'll be fine. In the stress of moving and as he rushed me through signing all of the paperwork, I didn't take the time (and should have) read the fine print. When the movers arrived at my new location, the mover said when they picked up my glass entertainment stand, one of the shelves was shattered (picture attached), which made the entire thing worthless. When I contacted Elite about the damage, I was told they don't handle claims and I had to go through a 3rd party (CSI Pros). That process was not easy and clearly designed to cause claimants to drop the claim since it is so tedious and frustrating. Even though it was not disputed that Elite was at fault, it took three months to get an offer of approx. $65 for a shattered glass piece of furniture (valued at approx $500) that I had to replace and hire someone to assemble at a cost of approx. $300. As it is designed to have you do, I gave up fighting and agreed to this settlement. Then it took another few weeks to get the check. I definitely do not recommend them.

TL;DR: Elite Moving is a complete scam, and will bleed you dry AFTER they’ve completed the job. This post is very long, because the owner of the company said that he would respond to these posts with pictures of our ‘contract’, and so I would like you to see how this really happened.

On June 20th, 2022 I called Elite Moving and Storage, at their Sun Valley location, to procure moving services for the furniture in our one bedroom apartment. I should note that during this conversation with an employee, Oren, I specifically told him that I would only like our furniture to be moved. We wanted to keep moving costs as low as possible, and Oren, knowing this, gave us an estimate of $850-900 dollars. This was a relatively short phone call (just under 4 minutes), and the exchange consisted of me telling him to move only the furniture, that we had a one bedroom apartment, and that we were moving from Pasadena, CA to Redlands, CA. I explained to him that it was around 61 miles one way, and he responded that this was not a problem. We scheduled a date for the 25th of June, and he told me he would send an email to me, with details. I gave him my email using the phonetic alphabet (A as in Alpha, etc.) as I always do, and he took it down. This was the end of the exchange.

On June 25th, the movers came - a total of three men. They were very professional for the most part, and successfully moved all of our furniture without damage, which we were very pleased with. However, once the moving was complete, the movers issued us a bill for $1925. We were shocked. We figured that after a tip and extraneous costs, the bill might be around $1200, but over double our estimate was insane. We explained this to one of the movers, who explained that labor alone would be more than our original estimate. When I asked him why I received such a smaller quote, he did not know. We used my mother-in-law’s credit card to even afford to pay it, and let them go.

After this, I called the company to explain the issue - maybe there was a mistake. The woman who answered the phone was very rude, and simply said, “It’s just an estimate”. The call was a short one.

I called back the next day, and spoke to someone who said that their supervisor would be available later, and to call back.

After about a week, we called again, and asked to speak with a supervisor. They let us know that he would be back in tomorrow, and that if we weren’t contacted then, to call back.

Two days later, we called back again. We were able to speak to Oren, the employee who gave us our original estimate. When we explained the situation, he said repeatedly that he didn’t give that estimate, and that he explained all the extra fees to me. When I explained that he didn’t, we checked what email he sent it to, and discovered that he had misspelled it. He sent us over, at the correct email address, the estimate that he sent, even though we were already moved into the new apartment. We asked to speak with a supervisor again, and he said that Val would contact us soon.

A week and a half later on July 20th, (If you’re keeping track, that’s almost a month of phone tag) Val finally called us. I gave my husband the phone to speak with him, during which, the call was on speakerphone. During the course of this phone call, he intimated that I, my husband’s wife, clearly relayed the information wrong, and that because my husband wasn’t the person to set the initial process into motion, that he couldn’t possibly know for sure that I didn’t screw up. Then, he repeated over and over again that we should be ‘happy about a job well done’ and that ‘it was just an estimate’. We told him that over double the estimate is a bad estimate, and he stated that it didn’t matter because it was an estimate. At the end of the phone call, he stated clearly that we could ‘post whatever we want on the internet’, but that he would attach my contract to the reply - the contract that I didn’t receive until the job was complete.

My goal here is to explain how you, a potential customer, can see how dishonest each part of the exchange with Elite Moving is. They will use their website with C-List celebrity autographs and an A+ from the Better Business Bureau. Just know that if you go to the BBB website, the actual customer reviews are 2.5/5 stars, and that these do not count towards the BBB rating. Do your research, because I promise you that this level of dishonesty, terrible business, and condescending, unprofessional customer service is not worth whatever you have to do to work with another moving business.

My furniture was delivered to me last week and I am just done unpacking. I am pleasantly surprised with the condition of everything. I did promise my contact person that I will write a review to let everybody on my experience with them but did not want to do it till all is done and unpacked. Well, everything is unpacked and as I said before, I am pleasantly surprised that there was nothing that broke in this move. I did expect little things here or there as I know that the furniture is moved several times but after inspecting all the items when they were brought into my apartment and unwrapped from the moving pads did not see any scratches or damages. the boxes came in the good shape and after unpacking them - all my china, dishes and lamps are in perfect condition. The movers themselves were polite and nice. The delivery was within 7 days when I was told that it may take up to 14 - so it seems to me as a good timing. I am pleased with my experience with Elite moving company and will recommend them to anybody who will ask.

My move to Denver was easy. I hired Elite through another company and was happy with the outcome of this move. The movers arrived on time to load my belongings, they were working very hard and wrapped all my large furniture in moving pads. After they were done, the packaging looked professional, defiantly not something that I could do myself. The delivery took place within 8 days, which was ok as they did advise me that it could take that long so I was prepared and had with me everything I needed to use in this period of time. Everybody who I came in contact with from Elite were very nice and professional, all my belongings were accounted for and in good condition.

Service cost: $1850

I just moved last month, and Elite went out of their way to make it as easy as possible for me.  There are too many great things to list!  To start off, I called last-minute, and they were able to squeeze in the move for me.  They followed up with detailed emails, and always kept in contact by phone when necessary.  Donna and her team have impeccable customer service, and were so kind and caring the whole way through. They stored my things while I was in transition, and then brought everything over to the new place in excellent condition.  Ami was so sweet and made sure that everything was in perfect order before he left – all hard workers, and quick and careful too.  Wonderful, wonderful company – I will most definitely recommend them to anyone I know that needs help moving.  Thank you Elite, I am SO grateful to all of you! ~Amy E. My wife called 3-4 moving companies from google. Оne of theme was Еlite moving sun valley. Val was at our home and gave us flat price for the total move. It's not our first move so we know how it works and what we need. One of this was flat price bottom line. No extras, no negotiations at the day of the move and that what we asked all for we contract. On the day of the move the men went true the contract whit us and did not mention anything about extras. All he asked was how we going to pay and they started the work. It was so nice to start stressful day like that. The guys did beautiful work. No damages, clean and no extra charges. We will use only Elite for our next move. Thank you Val and Elite team.

Do Not Use This Company They Scam Trusting Customers   Elite Moving and Storage of Sun Valley California is in my opinion running a scam moving operation against its customers. My partner and I have moved from Los Angeles to Milwaukee and before our move we were able to get ahold of anyone at Elite Moving within several rings of a phone call. Now in order to receive all of my furniture etc. they are IMPOSSIBLE to reach. Phone numbers are disconnected, other numbers go straight to voicemail, emails are not responded to. We are trying desperately to find out when we will receive our furniture and they refuse to cooperate. Donna and Crystal in dispatch have promised 4 times to respond with an ETA and they have not. Our contract states that "A company officer must contact to confirm delivery time frame with the customer before the shipment leaves for destination." This did not happen Driver will inform customer of time frame at least one day before shipment is delivered. This too is not happening. Not to mention that our original estimate was grossly underestimated. $1659 became $3005 very quickly with fees I was not informed of prior to booking with the company.

I recently used this company to move my stuff from California to Texas. The communication was terrible. The movers that they sent did not have papers to be able to get on base, so more people had to be sent the next day. Then they were supposed to be in Texas on a Monday and the finally got their on Wednesday about noon. When it got there, there was only one guy who was in his 60's to unload the truck.. So he picked up some kid off the street to help him move all of my stuff in my apartment. Then they put EVERYTHING in one room and left me to put together 2 beds, one of them is still not together b/c the room it goes in is FULL! OK that part is kinda not too big a deal, but I was missing over $700 worth of stuff. We were quoted one price and then charged double the amount we were quoted. Fine, but at least get ALL of my stuff here. Now I cannot get ahold of anyone to find out where my missing items are. I DO NOT RECCOMMEND this company for any kind of move or storage.

Elite Moving and Storage did a great job with my local move. On the day of the move we were a little behind getting things ready but they took apart our beds, tables and just worked with speed and grace. The crew was awesome - very professional and cool. We only moved a few miles away but moving is moving and so glad we chose them. Once at our new home, the movers did not damage anything and they way they wrapped our dressers with blankets and how they taped things worked well. I moved our own fragile stuff like T.V. boxes with delicates but that is a common sense thing to do.

We just had Elite move us this past weekend and it was pleasant surprise. We used 4 strong gentleman. We moved from 2nd floor and they had to use the balcony for one large sofa. Last time we moved with another moving co. It was OK. It just the guys ware unhappy with what they doing for living. Elite guys were very nice and had great attitude. Our move wasn't that big but the issue with the sofa was bit pain. This guys handle it like pros. If you need good moving co, call Elite. Strong guys and good attitude. Ask for Avi, the foreman. Thanks guys.

I used Elite about year ago local in LA and they ware wonderful.Recently I call them to move my parents from GA to CA, they are at there 80 and not so easy to work with when it comes to there personal space.Elite guys ware there for 2 days and have not heard anything but how they are so wonderful.last Monday we received the shipment to my parents new home set it all up parents all happy no complaints.I am very happy and thankful. I will definitely recommend Elite and will use them againThank You very muchN.D.

Elite moving made my move from Dallas TX a stress free process! From the initial consultation with Donna, who walked me through every detail of the move and was always happy to change our estimate if needed, to the arrival of my staff 6 days later and the wonderful help Avi and his crew provided. The items arrive on time everything was perfectly organize on the truck. The Foreman provide me with another copy of inventory list and we check item item on that list to make sure there are no missing item or damages. The delivery guys was amazing. I can't thank you enough.
Defiantly recommended your company.

I have moved quite a bit across the US in the last decade and never come across a company as bad a Elite.


1. My ordeal started right from the day of the pick-up. The crew did not show up on time and I had to call them several times. Finally they showed up 2.5 hours late


2. I guess Elite specializes in getting business through dishonest practices. They quote you low prices by deliberately estimating low volume and claim it’s the not-to-exceed price but it’s not the case. At the time of pick up, I was given a bill more than 20% what I was quoted originally because of the increase in volume.(even though my inventory increased only by a small box). This is after me giving accurate dimensions for all the items (including all of the non-standard ones).


3. I made it very clear to the sales person and the pick-up guy that I will be available only after noon on the 1st day I’m ready for delivery. In the contract there was no place to mention the time, so I just mentioned the date. The pick-up person assured me that it will not be delivered before noon. I also sent an email to the sales person prior to delivery which she acknowledged. On the prior to the day of delivery, the dispatch guy called and threatened me that if I don't pay $300 extra he will not deliver after noon and he will put it in storage which will cost me $850. It was plain extortion and the dispatch guy spoke to me in the rudest way possible. Again I had no choice other than accepting to pay an extra $300.

4. The delivery was pathetic - two of my boxes were completely broken with all the items hanging out, a book shelf was totally damaged and the delivery guys refused to assemble a study table.


It's been 4 weeks since the delivery - I have been following up with Elite - their response in appalling. Looks like my claim will take more than 90 days (apart from this they are not willing to share any more information).


These guys do not care for the customer. I guess all the positive reviews must be paid ones - a company as bad and dishonest as Elite cannot get even a single positive review.


I recommend NOT to consider Elite for you moving needs !! There are several better companies.
Poor service is pardonable, it happens sometimes. But not dishonesty.
